Powdered Activated Carbon

Powdered activated carbons have very low particle size. The particle sizes are between 80-325. The surface area is large and the diffusion rate is low compared to granular activated carbon. They are commonly produced from coconut shell, coal and wood. Powdered activated carbons, which are very easy to use, are added to the solution, mixed and separated by filtration.
