Textile Industry

Textile industry is one of the industries that need the most water consumption today. The qualities of the water to be used vary according to the type of business / process. The main reasons for this are pollutants such as microorganisms, salts, bacteria and suspended solids in the raw water source. Accordingly, the quality of the materials produced changes accordingly. In the textile sector, the conductivity of water, that is, the degree of ions in the water, is a major disadvantage especially in the dyeing stage. Because the conductivity of water means that more chemicals are used during the dyeing of the fabric used. This is a situation that increases the cost and decreases the quality. In the textile industry, water treatment systems are preferred in pre-treatment, dyeing, printing and finishing processes as well as in final washing processes. Therefore, different methods/technologies are needed for each stage.

In the absence of water treatment in the textile industry; some chemicals are preferred in order to ensure process suitability. These chemicals are more costly methods that affect the purity of water. However, the standard of water is not always the same in the use of traditional chemicals and this leads to the production not always being of the same quality. Apart from this, it causes the machines used to deteriorate and decrease their efficiency due to iron, calcium, magnesium and microorganisms in the water. For this reason, it is very important to use advanced water treatment systems in the textile industry and the treatment provides both less cost and standardized production.
