Since direct discharge of wastewater after chemical treatments will be harmful, pH adjustment systems are effective in complying with the criteria of wastewater discharge regulations. Among the methods, the ideal ones are acid and caustic additions. Acid or caustic is dosed to reach the desired pH level.

Neutralization systemsIt consists of a balancing tank, an indispensable pH meter, purification chemicals, metering pumps, double diaphragm pumps and control panels.

The balancing tank provides self-neutralization of pH and equalizes the temperature of the various streams. An inlet downpipe or baffle is used to direct the flow to the bottom of the tank. Chemicals from metering pumps are fitted with syringes.

Caustics are used in concentrations of -50, acids are used in concentrations of and above. Regardless of the type of treatment, the more preliminary data that can be collected, the more smoothly the system will run.
